Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died today at 87

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away today at her home in Washington, D.C. from complications of metastatic pancreatic cancer at age 87. Justice Ginsburg was nominated by President Bill Clinton and was part of the liberal wing of the Supreme Court. She was the second woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court after Sandra Day O’Connor. “Chief Justice John Roberts mourned Ginsburg’s passing. “Our Nation has lost a jurist of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her — a tireless and resolute champion of justice,” Roberts said in a statement.” WBALTV
